Ummm go get one made at lowes, it will still open your doors just not start the vehicle

not all keys can be cut at your local hardware store.

my keys for my civic have an electronic signal in them that has to match with my ignition key switch or else it won't turn on.

if i find someone who can copy that type of key i could open but trunk or doors but not start the car.

as he mentioned in order for him to get a new key, the car and much paper work have to be taken for security purposes. i had to do the same thing when i bought my car being that it only came with 1 key and 1 remote switch.

he got in, in about 1.5 minutes. nice guy. and i would have been honered if the tap would ever break into my car.

both my parents got their vehicles equipped with keyless entry..

I wish I got keyless entry on my explorer..

it is a 5 buttons with numbers on it right below the door handle on drivers door that will unlock the door when you enter the right code..

my next car MUST have it ha.. I was locked out numerous times but luckily i always had spare key in my wallet lol.

Yes imobilizers are in most vehicles, however like i said it will open doors and the trunk just not start the car. Lowes will do it just bring your insurance card an tell them you are aware it will not start the car they help in a situation like this.

I however have a hidden button that unlocks and disarms my car, so i dont really have to worry about it

haha my friend locked his keys in his mustang new years eve

we spent like 30 mins trying to get that bish open with clothes hangers, but we were only successful in pushing the lock side of the button.

eventually we called AAA which is what he should have done in the very begining.

oh and mall cops FTW. locked my keys in the car one day at the mall. tracked down the mall security and he did it in like 10 seconds.

have your buddy run you to the walmart, buy a pack of tennis balls (or one, thats all you need)
cut a small hole in the tennis ball, or a small "X" shape hole through one side with a knife. put the hole up to the lock and make sure you hold it airtight to the lock. push on the tennis ball with a good bit of pressure. the air will rush into the locking assembly and unlock the door. seen it work on YouTube lol. worth a try.

its really easy to do

1st find something to wedge the door open (wedje shape) (big enough to get a coathangar/antenna in

2nd slide in the antenna ect. in the doorjam (be carful not to rip the door rubber.

3rd try to push the button to unloke your vehicle.

ive had to do this hundreds of times (i work at a car dealership and its a daily thing)

BUT i have a kit specially made for this. ive done this as quickly as 2 minutes.30-20 seconds on a good day
