I needed a new battery anyway, my vehicle is a 2002 and I think it was the original battery. Next I'm gonna do the big 3. Hopefully with all being done I won't need to upgrade my Alternator. We shall see.
The stereo is the stock Bose system in the 02 Escalade, I'm just adding a JL Audio 1000/1 to a JL Audio 13W7 in a ported box. Those 1000/1 amps pull a lot of current!
I didn't feel the need to post a pic of an Optima battery, I think you all know what one looks like LOL.
I will however take a picture of the board I made to mount my amp and power inverter.
OK, got some pics now. Here is a pic of the Optima installed (not very exciting), but also is my creation for mounting my amp and power inverter and in between the 2 is going to have a Playstation 2. I just cut out a board and covered with some Fabric from a local craft store. Let me know what you think.
Thanks guys. I'm trying to be patient and do it all right. I've been impatient in the past and just slapped things together only to have to go back and re-do it at a later date LOL
Looks good, but you should have gone with the deep cycle yellow top battery instead of the starting battery. It would be much better for your application.
i have the same amp board design in my tahoe and same redtop... the big three on that vehicle took me all of 20 minutes... it is rather easy with the location of the ALT... The hardest is grounding the battery but there is one under the battery tray you will see it.
I ordered my zero gauge, as soon as it gets here I will be doing my Big 3, yes I don't anticipate it taking very long, again I just want to make it look good, so I will take the extra time to route things nicely and such.
