Just installed amp and have a problem

I took out my 300/2 and installed a Power Acoustic Gothic Series 820. When I play my system now, my subs dont sound right. I dont know how to explain it. It sounds like a crackling noise that it never did before. What could be my problem?

check the lpf/hpf make sure it is set to LPF and tuned correctly. if it has a SSF make sure that is set correctly as well. make sure your wiring method coincides with the impredance of the new amp.
