I am installing a Power Acoustic Gothic Series 820 in my Ranger right now, I keep getting it wired up and when I go to mount it my power and ground wires come out fo the amp. What is the problem? THey are 4 gauge wires. Is there any sort of extension I can use so i dont have to bend the wire? I am wondering because I want this installed today before 4:00 if possible.

does the amp have terminals that hold 4gauge? If not you can get reducers if they are sold at a shop local to you or you can pick up a 4ga to 8ga distro block...also make sure you are screwing them down completely

i hate to recomend this, but theres not much you can do, unless you placed your amp elsewhere, or ran a long run of wire. Assuming your fuse is under your hood, the distance that your fuse holder is from the battery, cut a new piece of wire 6" longer, and pull the extra 6" through the firewall, and youll have enough that way

edit, or as dre said, and add a reducer to 8
