I have a KickerZX300.1 amp with two 10" Kicker Comps (150 RMS each) and my ground wire is 8 gauge, my power cable is 4 gauge hooked up to an 80AGU fuse.

ground in 4 gauge as well. How long is your ground? it is to bare metal? What size is your alternator? You shouldnt have dimming with 300 watts

U must have a seriously weak battery or alt must be about to shit the bed if ur dimming off that power. In a 93 Civic w/ completely stock electrical my buddy runs 750 rms w/ no problems.

Idk what the battery size is...its in a 05 Chevy silverado though, and my ground is about a 18 inches...im not even using an alternator.

AHAHAHAHA.... Your battery is hooked up to the alternator, its part of your vehicles electrical system.

Is the ground bare metal??

Yeah, maybe you shouldnt have installed this yourself. My advice is to take it to a shop before it burns to the ground. Try making your ground about 8-10 inches or less and in 4 gauge.

your ground should be same gauge as the power wire. and yes, you are using an alternator.....

sounds to me like your ground sucks... you shouldnt have any issues whatsoever only running 300 watts.
