I too just took the IDQ Plunge. However I did NOT go with the DLS amps. lol. Would be nice, just don't think I've got the electrical backing.

Interestingly enough, the ID amps should be out before too long, but alas not soon enough.

4 idq v3 12"s sealed or 3 idmax 12"s sealed(powered by a audison lrx 1.2 3200X1 @1ohm)

i'm gonna run with a very loud active id system... need an sub stage that wont get drwned out by the front stage. normally it's the subs over-powering the front stage. i'm gonna be running dual id xs69"s per door paired up with some id cd2 neo comp horns. i listen to mostly metal, a little industrial too....

JUST because you have all that power on tap, I would suggest you go w/ the idmaxs. Four of them would do perfectly w/ that amp (800watts each is all you need).

because dropping 20lbs or so from my floating ib would be real nice.

i have idq15d2v3's and i would love to have some idq15d4v3's - it would be an upgrade in ever case. and when i get off cruise early next year - you can bet your arse im going to get my DLS amplifiers too.

its kinda funny man, you and i have very similar design goals - both alpine heads with h701, both id speakers, and both dls amps (well, i will have them again lol). only i have horns and larger midbass and instead of sealed i run IB. when the xs8 and the 15v3 come out, i have to make 4 purchases. hopefully i wont have to get a whole component set //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

the XS8 is in the works. They trying to perfect the measurements. I was lucky enough to see the computer generated version of it.

As for the idq15 v.3, it should be out before the XS8 is.

i was told that the xs8"s wont be out for another year. remember guys, id doesn't havent money on tap like jl. they need to make some serious sales to make the XS8 become a reality. get out there and buy id!!!!!!
