Just got bad news..

Apparently, back in 96, Dodge decided to be dumb and control alt. voltage through the ECU. Now, the biggest alt I can get for my truck is a 220amp.

I did not, and still do not plan on running a bunch of batteries. I might have to rethink my 2 18's. This really ticks me off.

Yes, but I do not plan on having 8 batteries..that is what I meant. I have no room, and I have no bed cover.

Why would you need batteries to run those two amps I was under the impression that batteries(extra) were only useful for running the amps when the vehicle was off and it actually stresses the electrical system more possibly robbing the amps of power when the vehicle is running?
