Just fried my amp maybe??

On my way home, my subs cut out on me and so did my highs...

Subs completely shut off and them 4 channel amp started flickering power on and off, on and off?

Got home and checked, both amps has good voltage, remote has good voltage.

I pulled out the Rcas on the sub amp and subs are making a poping sound.

Thats does mean i f'ed my amp right???

i think its jsut a short

ive been dealing with the same shit from my deck to my back left speaker. in my case, it isnt hurting anything, and only happens when i turn the car off. every once in a while the whole system will shut off so i know its in the head unit.

it sounds like a short somewhere tho. cuz if ur amps turning on and u said the volts and everything are ok, then it should be ok. just maybe a short???

take your amp to the front of your car and hook it up to the battery like you normally would and use a small wire off the pos on the batt to the remote.. if its good its good and you have something wrong inside the car

Whats a short mean? Like short circuit because today i belive the same thing happened on the highway as i was banging the bass cut off and anything past 9/45 will not play bass at all and just pop and make weird sounds. My subs didnt blow i beleive since they still make noise at low volumes but is the amp (KICKER 750.1) fried or is it repairable or did a wire come loose maybe?

that in my case sounds like a bad ground.

I'll check the ground then. You sure its not something inside the amp that got fried? I Was driving for about 45min 80% vol slightly past half gain on a 80F day. I know its not a fuse cuz i still hear bass but anything up past 8/9 pops and cuts

DC Biasing. Amp is dead. The rest of the system flickers because when the amp is making the sub pulse, it is drawing a lot of current.
