Thought I d share..

I have a 95 Ford Explorer, but needs some repair so decided to get a new vehicle..

My mother got a 2002 Ford Explorer XLT and I always have enjoyed driving it around so I was confident that I would like to own a newer Explorer..

Always have liked Explorers because the ride is great and it got the space that I like.. Plus great looks if done right in my opinion.. Also, the gas mileage is not too bad either.. not too worried about gas mileage though..

So what I got here is a 2004 Ford Explorer Limited V8.. Fully loaded except for 4x4.. Silver exterior and charcoal interior..

I got plenty of plans for this vehicle.. I already got 22s for them from my old 95 and got some mods in mind to do on this Explorer.. Will not get into car audio for a while since this category costs the most out of all mods that I would like to do lol..

The ideas:

Tinting the front windows to match the rear windows

Replace the headlight corners with clear corners

K&N cold air intake

lowering springs (not sure)

22s

billet grilles for upper and lower grilles(not sure)

I will come up with more ideas and plans as time goes..

drive down here and i can get you a wall with 4 15s made already for an 04 explorer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

haha sounds good lol but actually in the future I would like 2 12s or 15s with at least 2k watts, that would do me good.. along with some nice front stages and a Double Din headunit..

that generation explorer is one of the nicest IMHO. the interiors are pretty flimsy and cheesy, but so are everyone's except a select few manufacturers.
Thanks, it is a big upgrade from my 95 to this 2004 seriously.. My 95 had nothing I am telling you.. cloth seats, shitty casette radio, and whatever..

nice. how many mpg?
supposedly 20/15

should get a little better than that in the city, my '05 expedition gets like 16-17 usually

with the wall in i get about 18mpg, which isnt that bad, wish i had the V8 tho //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
Yeah V8 is very nice I m telling ya.. It is pretty powerful.. a lot more powerful than my mom's 2002 XLT V6

If I floor it, it actually kicks in and makes me lean my body back a bit for pretty long.. while my mom's 2002 it got nice kick in the beginning but after a few seconds, nothing more kicks in.. also she got the 4 speed ****** while I have 5 speed..

Wont be complaining if it does!

looks good man.i would of got 4x4 though. shit are 2 wheel drive explorer got stuck in the snow we got:crap:
you got a 2wd suv in michigan?
If you know how to drive in snow then you will be ok with 2wd

I got shi tload of snow here and I drove my explorer around today with no problem.. I dont mind some peeling sometimes lol..

Some guys I know are claiming that Limited edition are AWDs so that is not confirmed yet though.. I gotta do a more research on my explorer, but from what I saw/feel by driving today, it is a 2wd..

when I had my 95, I never once touched the 4x4 except for one time when I wanted to see what is it like with 4x4 turned on. but other than that, I never touched it..

so did not bother me that I dont have 4x4
