Banana Plugs huh....

WELL....

I have used systems both with them and with out them. Currently I am using over sized spade connections on the 703s because well that is what I ordered on my Straightwire Cable, surface area for the win! But the DM601 S3 are using the fabled banana plug.

The DM330i system used the banana plugs too. There is NOTHING wrong with banana plugs. In fact I would use them OVER cramming the cable in the back of the terminals. For several reasons, first off surface area. When you cram the cable in to a screw jack or a push jack only a few strands are carrying the current into the terminal which isn't optimal. Secondly, lets say you are being careless and trip over your cable. With banana plugs they come unplugged and no harm done, with just pushing the cable in you could short out the system or destroy your loudspeakers terminals.

SO if you want to spend some extra bucks to get the banana plugs go for it...
