Just bought my HT setup..what wire do I buy to hook it all up??

Knukonceptz for RCA interconnects.

For speaker wiring, it's really not critical...you could use simple 14awg stranded zip cord, or something more esoteric...

I'm partial to Canare 4S11, quality stuff //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Indeed.....

You might also look at Coax Digital or Optical Cables for audio from the DVD player to the Receiver...

I already have an HDMI for my PS3/dvd player to my reciever, and hdmi for my reciever to tv....i just need speaker cables....what are the rca connect things??? Do I need them WITH speaker wire?

Links would be a GREAT help and I promise to take pics of everything when it's all setup!!

basically you just need to hook speakers up? I assume they are all seperate and not one of those kits with the amp built into the sub that powers the whole system? If so just get probably some 16awg from walmart

Does HDMI include the audio as well?

Honestly, I don't know, I've never owned anything that needed it...

I'm used to left and right channel analog cables //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

yes it does and it goes like in in sq

hdmi>analog 5.1 or 7.1 >optical

to the op

just any oxygen free speaker cable will work, i picked up some flat 14 gauge from radio shack 50 feet for $25

also what you end up getting? any pix?

Yes, it's designed to carry video and audio on one small cable. So because his receiver already has the sound (no need for RCA interconnects) he just needs plain old 12 or 16 gauge speaker wire to run from the receiver to his speakers, at least that's how my dad's fancy pants crap is hooked up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I've had people recommend Digital Coax over optical... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
