Well im running 2 12"in. spl ml's 600rms a piece with a hifonics brutus 1206d at a 1ohm load. and yeah i know spls sorta **** but w/e im stuck with them for now and will upgrade later. The recomended sealed cubic ft per sub is .75 per subwoofer. and aroound 1.7-1.75 cubic feet for a ported. i have a sealed box that is 1.66 per section, has 2 sections.

I ran some measure ments for my round ports and with that sized box to hit my recomended hz it was about 4.23in. diameter and 19.33in. long.

so if i get a 4.25in. diameter pipes for my ports, since i wont find a 4.23in. one. and just do the work and insert them and secure them i should be fine right?

im going to be build a custom box in a while just need something for now.

alright cool, so i should get some noticeable more spl out of this? i know if i go ported you get more spl but what kind of a difference should i see compared to using a complete oversized sealed box.

another question to put in here so i dont have to make another thread.

Im running that hifonics 1206d. I want it to run at 1ohm currently my sub woofers are wired like this.

Both postives go to 1 wire and buy negatives go to 1 wire. For both subs.

then outside of the box both postives go to one input on the amp and both negs go to one input on the amp.

Is that 1 ohm or am i doing it wrong? if im doing it wrong please let me know how to wire em up right.

my bad about not editing the first time, wasnt thinkin lol

if they are dual 2 ohm subs... take a look at the wiring diagrams that are stickied in the wiring section

that 1.66cu' per section you talk about, does that include sub and port displacement? otherwise you will need to account for that and refigure the port length.
