Junkyard alts, what cars comes with a big oem alt?? factory 1 wire??

I know its 3am and I wont get much replies before I hit the yard in the morning

Looking to possibly grab an alt form the yard tomorrow depending on how much they want and how big I can find. Im grabbing batts tomorrow and have room to throw in a second alt. Is there any big amperage (150+) alts out there? Possibly one wire alts for a direct connection to the battery bank....

Or can an alt be converted to one wire?? I just want to get this **** thing installed and not wait 4 weeks for a custom one for my rig

Escalades and most gm heavy duty vehicles are 145 or better. Some are one wire as well. The part is a cs144. You could look for ambulances or heavy equipment vehicles as well. I don't know how well they will work/adapt to your QX4 though.

Ya Im looking for a 1 wire, and I def wont be finding any escalades lol, I was thinking of hitting up some minivans and stuff and looking for an alt that looked brand new, just was hoping of a certain one that might be best, hoping I can find a few one wire alts anyways

If not no biggie, just have to wait a few weeks for a custom 1 wire, just wanted to do all my wiring before it started snowing lol

Look for older caddys and rivieras some had 200 amp alts

older lincolns had a nice size alt, if your lucky tou'll find one that has the limo alt
