so ya, i have this desktop gaming pc i might wanna get rid of and wanted to see about how much it's worth. I used to know all about this shit but kinda fell off so if you know this shit lemme know what i should expect to get for it.

specs:

Core 2 Duo e8400

Gigabyte EP45-UD3R

4 GB DDR2 1066 G.Skill

MSI GTX260 Core 216

22" LG LCD Monitor

2x160GB WD HD's in Raid-0

200GB WD HD

random gaming case

i buy and sell a lot of computer parts and this is what i would expect to get, maybe a little more on craigslist

about $500 including the monitor

about $400 without

partout:

Core 2 Duo e8400...$125

Gigabyte EP45-UD3R...$75

4 GB DDR2 1066 G.Skill...$45

MSI GTX260 Core 216...$125

22" LG LCD Monitor...$100

2x160GB WD HD's in Raid-0...$20 each

200GB WD HD...$25

This. Computers lose value faster than cars. Try selling this on an overclock or computer forum & they'll tell you $300-$400 at best.

Nice computer though. GLWS.

That is true, I build tons of computers, almost have to build every year to keep up ...at about a standstill though right now since it makes not much since to build any higher than a dual core at this time due to the apps not utilizing it completely. But, I'm sure people would argue about needing the biggest 'PC stick' to justify building higher end PCs. But the same PC I built a year ago for $1000 just in parts probably would cost 500-600 today..so value not so high.

i revised the ram, that was a typo;)

those sticks probably retail for about $70-80 set, but used ram prices are crap considering all the huge rebates that accompany them at various times

I'm thinking about building a new PC next month... When is the next gen of ICore7 processor's due out? I'll wait to buy the componenets after that and maybe after the next ATI card comes out to see the price drops.

Also looking forward to working in Windows 7...
