Judging by my past systems, would i be happy with this one??

ok, currently, i have 2 15 inch cerwin vega vmaxs powered by a jbl bp 1200 sealed. Previously i have had a solo x 12 in a 5 ft ported box, 2 pg titaniums sealed, 3 infinity perfect 12s sealed, 3 12 inch audiobahn ultra excursions, all have been powered by the jbl. These systems were all in a honda civic hatchback. Ive noticed that my system is only really loud when my windows are down, and i was wondering if having smaller subs would remedy this? anyway my real question is do you think upgrading to 2 solo l7 15's with some new amp at around 2000 watts would be a lot louder? probably sealed...also, im looking at getting a bigger amp around at least 2000 watts rms, anyone have any reccomendations? i was looking at viper 2500.1 or maybe power acoustik 3000, thanks i really appreciate it

i had a friend who have 4 cerwin vega "vega" subs in ported box. pusshed by a 2500 mmats amp. and it was loud

he then got 2 12" L7's ported at i think 4cubes maybe each? and it was MUCH louder...

if you want much louder, don't seal the L7's. port them at 2200-2500wrms man.

maybe even going with 12"s intead of 15" 's if you don't have the room to port 2 15"s..

yea ya know i was actually considering getting the 12s, just so i could keep my current amp, cuz its a tiny civic hatch man .can really port more than one sub, so i guess i was also considering one 15 l7 ported?? too many **** decisions hahah

yeah you must of been only tickling that sub, by all means if you still have the solo x keep it and give it more power, get two of the power acoustik 3000's (one would probably move it decently) and you'd end it all.

Man i have the same problem (2004 chevrolet silverado), my Subs are alot louder with the windows, down i believe there was a thread about it not to long ago.

lol well actually the solo x had 2 jbl 1200.1's on it for a while, but one had some serious problems. anyway, trust me, it moved with 1200... check this out if u dont beleive me here it is in action, but i sold it off , i always like to change shit up ya know... anyone else with comments for my above question??

any one know or have suggestions? im stuck between one 15 l7 on 1200 watts ported in the same box as the solo x, around 5 ft at 32 hz, or 2 12s in same box on 600 each, or 2 15s in a sealed box with more power....

a 15" L7 in a ported box will be loud in a civic hatchback. I'm not sure if the L7's require a box that big but i dont think it would hurt.

just dont seal the L7's...

yea i do remember when i built a box for one 15 l7 for my friend i tried it out in my car and it was pretty loud. Do you think the 2 12s ported would be ok off of a bp 1200?

haha yea i always get tired of my stuff WAY too quickly, no problems with the subs at all, just lookin to change it up already
