Jobs over $25000/ Year

i made about $33k last year and should make about $36k this year, no degree and i'm 24. Some could say i'm lucky but i worked my way up from washing cars in the detail department 5 years ago to the parts manager of the largest Mitsubishi dealership in arkansas.edit: not trying to brag but if you work hard you can move up quickly in some businesses, especially automotive parts and service.
Which dealership? I use to work for Little Rock Dodge/Chrysler/Mitsubishi.

Since you've been doing construction for a while, do you think you could manage your own company? That's obviously the best way to live the lifestyle you want if you think you have the skills to manage your own construction company. I'd just go for it man. Get a business plan and just borrow the money you need to get started. I know it wouldn't be easy but its just a suggestion.

If you wanna go back to school for a while I'd recommend accounting, because then you could either do accounting for a construction company possibly, or if not and you want to have your own business you can do your own accounting. There is a really big need for accountants right now and if you have a degree you could make 35k as a bare minimum.

Working for the postal service is pretty good money, look at this list http://www.resumagic.com/hpj_nodegree.html

If I was in your situation and wanted to just start over I might also consider going to alaska as a fisherman. They can make 100k a year or more without any education at all. It's dangerous but you can live tight up there for a year or 2 and save your money and have what it takes to get a fresh start or go to school or just whatever you need really.

I am 26 have my degree and got my first big paycheck this time last year when I took a job as DIstrict Manager in the wireless field. In the last 12 months with Salray, commision and bonus I did 104k, hopefull my first full year will gross me around 115k

2 years ago this month I was making 25k

just stick in a growing industry and work your *** off

Mike

You need to bemaking 60K to be living "comfortably" pretty much anywhere. Then again "comfortably" is pretty subjective.
Yes one can never be too comfortable. But I know that in some part of the US where house mortage is a joke compare to where I'm. That's is probably going to be the biggest bills you gotta pay and everything else is down hill. If you're married and living in those area with low rent, I'm sure you can survive on one person's income. Where here's its impossible to do that unless, I take it back; you need atleast 80K+ if you want to live by yourself in a house. Other places I've been to such as NC, TX, KY I could probably move out with a full-time minimum wage job. However in San Jose, that's not possible.

Pricey Homes, nearly all CA

It all depends on what your willing to live like. In my area (North of Dallas) 60K is not really that feasible if you want to own a house. I remember reading that to make a theoretical 100K, you would need about 250K in NY and around 99K in Dallas.

Well i've thought about opening my own company... But as most people who do that know , its pretty spendy at first, and i barely make enough now.. If i found some good guys to work with that were quality i might do that...

Also my dad is the postmaster of my city Duluth MN ( yes i no it says WI in my profile) BUt the only problem w that is i havent talked to him in about 5 years.. And dont want to give his sarcastic *** another reason to tell me what a failure i am.. Even tho i bust my *** off 40+ hrs a week.. But if i can work out all that drama .. It mightbe possible //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If you want freedom start your own business. I cant cause Im too lazy. If you want great benefits get with a large company or a small company with a really cool owner. I worked construction too for 8 yrs. I enjoyed it but once I had kids I realized I needed benefits. Health, Dental, ect. Man has that payed off. Last year alone I had 3,000 in dental work, the birth of a child 10k, and my wifes gall (sp.) bladder taken out another 8k, plus all of the usuall yearly check ups, teeth cleaning, contacts/glasses. I only had to fork out 15% of it. Benefits are awesome.

$60k is plenty for Frisco...

But no im still only making 4 dollars more now than when i started 8 yrs ago //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Uhhhhhhhhhhh . . . . . . . . . as long as you are single.
If you're not single then you should have 2 incomes in your household //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

You going to come over this weekend and help work on the car?

Real shyt here....I just turned 17 and just graduated HS and I'm making $23 an hour on average. Probally as I get better at my job, I'll be making $30.

I work for a company that builds bikes, grills, and furniture for all the Wal-marts in our region. Starting your own company and training people, you wouldn't even have to work. The owner does nothing except write checks and set-up times and the company pays for all his bills plus his hospital bills (he has skin cancer). Our rival company, that guy works basically for him self and makes 100k+ a year.

2 incomes for a while, then the woman stays home with the kidos. Nigerian woman who can barely speak English raising your kids at a day care FTL.

Weekend is booked //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif . Company golf tournament and family = no time. I would like to meet ya some time though.

My only advice - don't put the house in both names unless you are married.
