The w6 will sound better the kicker will be louder Round speaker will aways sound truer to natural over the square speaker. Even Kicer uses the cvx in the SQ setups.
Your argument is flawed in several aspects, one being that your asserting all sounds are meant to be circular. Two, that these sound waves arrive at your ears in a 'circle' - (which completely negates the physical characteristics of your vehicle such as reflections, sympathetic vibrations and resonances, etc.), and three - that the 'shape' of the sound wave is discernible from one woofer to another at bass frequencies (let's say 80hz and down).
If you look at the musical instruments that create music (excluding electronic keyboards and the like) - they produce all sorts of uniquely shaped soundwaves - that is what makes one instrument sound different than the next. Guitars, pianos, woodwinds - all produce different shaped soundwaves. Many of these instruments have rounded features - but I don't think you can argue that makes one instrument 'better' than another.
For the purposes of reproduction, these sounds are typically played back through a simple 2-dimensional diaphragm moving in 1 axis - (though even tweeters can be found in more than round shapes), but I would argue the ability to reproduce 'accurate' sound, (again focusing on the bass spectrum) is defined more by the mechanical and electrical characteristics of a speaker than by it's shape.
Regarding sound 'shapes', something you might find interesting is the field of cymatics (the study of visible sound and vibration) - in particular, the observation of Chladni patterns - which can be observed by putting a flat surface on top of a speaker with a handful of table salt scattered across it - and playing variable frequencies. The salt forms patterns along the nodal lines and creates some wild geometric shapes.
Please stop. You are making your self look really bad, and what you are saying is absolute non-sense. If you choose to carry on it will likely result in an epic flaming.I was not basing it on all sound waves are circular they are waves. What I was statinig is that the wave length can be more uniform in a circular pattern. I cleary answered question the w6 sounds better on a SQ level than the L7. I was not trying to state all circle speakers are better. If I recall the original strokers had no cone correct? just a spider and pole. And bringing in musical instruments in the argument electronic keyboards are not real instrument. I am a musician I have acoustic drums and electronic. I can get way different sounds out of the electronics but you can photoshop a horse p*cker on a new born too so is that real? I do not recall a Square acoustic drum ever being made.

I hate the L7's merely for the fact that the parts they use are rubbish. I have heard horror stories of unwound coils in a large majority of the kicker line up. When I said they do SPL poorly I meant that they do not last long in a setup like that.
I will say my friends along with the other people I have heard these stories from did a portion of it upon themselves but, the quality still stands to be quite bad.No woofer is indestructable... The people that think they are - are the same people blowing them up left and right.
Having said that, in the 30-some squares I own/have owned, I've never slinky'ed a coil.
Burnt coils... torn spiders... but never any 'horror stories'... Push something to the limits and beyond - and it's gonna break. Simple as that. =)

Your smiley faces are freaking me out man. Soft parts, cone material and the coils are all pretty meh. Can't ask much from them though.Quality of what exactly?Having a difficult time getting specifics out of you =)
What is it your asking of them though? Are you seeing them fail on rated power in a proper enclosure?
The majority of failures I've seen definitely fall into the 'abuse' category.
Perhaps Kicker just attracts a lot of people that like to abuse stereo gear?
(freaky smiley? oh... you must of seen this:
