i really need some help picking a good amp for my sub.

single 12" re se dual 4 ohm.

deciding on the jl 500.1 or the diamond audio 600.1.

i've heard that the jl 500.1 is underrated and actually produce about 600rms.

i've seen some good comments about the diamond audio...but still not sure yet.

please any suggesntions would be appreciated...been trying to get a answer for the past day so i can go ahead and order the amp... Thanks!

The JL will do 500W no matter what ohm load, regulated power supply.

The Diamond has the ability to produce more power than the JL since its not a regulated power supply.

Diamond audio is nice, I prefer the look of them over JL amps

i think that the diamond will produce more power at 2 ohms than the JL. but at 4 ohms the JL will be louder. even though they are supposed to produce 500 watts at any ohm from 1.5-4 ohms, the lower the ohm you go there is a little drop off in power to reduce heat. if you are going to spend that kind of money on amps, i would go with the zapco reference series before either diamond or jl.
