JL subs

I've tried Adire MK1 Brahmas, Resonant Engineering XXX's, TC Sounds Uberwoofers, Rockford Fosgate Punch HX2s and JL Audio W7's. I did like the JL's the best.

You won't be disappointed in the w6v2, i am soon to add my second as well.

i think if you ask any jl audio retailer they will agree that not only is jl a great product but they stand by their products as well. one of my good buddies is a large audio shop manager and he swears by jl for both reasons. now, with that said, i use the RE XXX 15".

come on now, what retailer would talk bad about a product that they carry, if they have a potential sale; and seein that jl doesnt make u be an established retailer before u can sell their product, thats why u have it all over the country in small shops.

let me guess you heard a shop that doesn't sell jl talk bad about jl right? my buddy doesn't need to sell me on jl, he knows that i won't pay their prices. besides just hearing them is enough proof----oh yeah they were installed by competent installers by the way. And yeah my friends shop carries sony, alpine, memphis, infinity, Oz audio, and a few others and yes they tell me which ones they think are crap as well.

DD??? what does jl make that is even made the purpose most folks buy a DD woofer??? Also who sells RE aa si and all the others??? Large corporations.... hahaha i doubt it. More than likely.... Like I said earlier if you can only get a w6v2 to sound as good as a lanzar than you have some install issues imo. And why you would make your first thread something as retarded as this is beyond me.

thanks for ur opinions guys, they are very expensive and i feel like there are better subs for half the price. working as an installer i have had the unfortunate privelage of of hearing most of the subs in their line-up and i must say that they are not very impressive.

I haven't seen anybody(including some people who are huge into high end home audio) at the local shop yet who has not been impressed with the JL stuff, especially the W6v2s and W7s.

A "better" sub than a W7 for "half" the money? That would have to be incredibly subjective.

You also have to realize, many people are getting MUCH better deals than retail AT JL dealers. I have seen many people post to that effect.

The local shop has been a JL dealer for 4 years or so. You have to take certain things into consideration(well, if you want to be fair, anyway) when comparing products.

Maybe ED(for example) makes some subs that some people just love. However, many times people have done presales with them and have waited for MONTHS to get their product. NOT having to do that(you can get a JL sub at your dealer, no problem) does hold value for some people(it sure as hell would hold value for me).

Reputations are earned, not just given out. JL has earned their reputation. The local shop has had incredible luck with their products.

This thread is pretty odd, considering, imo, the forums seem to be more flooded with "snobs" who look down upon anybody who buys a well known brand.

so what is ur opinion on the jbl gti series? seein that u think u are such a car audio genious and ur sayin dont compare jbl to ma. whats ur opinion on that sub series.
