JL subs, kicker amp what you think?

i have (3) 13.5 W6v2 from JL aduio and im thinkin of putting zx2500.1 on all three of them. my subs are 4 ohm dual voice coil how does this sound...?

also if i do this what kinda of electrical upgrade will i need?

You can wire a series/parallel to get 2.67 ohms so that amp may give you about 2000RMS. You should probably get a 220A+ alternator. You'll have to do the big three and use 0 guage to your trunk. Might have to upgrade your battery to a kinetik or optima as well.

just do a big3 and get a new battery/run secondary battery first to see if you get excessive dimming. I'm sure down the road you'll need a new alt, but you don't have to get it right away if you don't feel up to it.

The price of a good enough battery to help would only be maybe 100-150 cheaper than an alternator. Two batteries would cost more. And with an alternator, you have a greater chance of not having to buy a battery as if you went the route of buying the battery first.

Your amp will very likely just shut off on you if you try to draw that much power without a better alternator.

big 3 will cost you about 30-50 shipped. All you'll need is wire and a fuse holder unless you feel your wiring job is completley safe. Otherwise about 15ft of 0/1 or larger wire pending the car you have. My firebird only uses about 10ft tops. A battery will cost you a good bit more. Pending were you get it. I can make a recomendation. shoot me a pm.

I just did the whole new battery/alternator thing in my car and was totally worth it.
