JL subs/fosgate amp questions

I'm looking to get a sub woofer setup for my 89 montero(looks exactly like a land rover discovery with no luxury).

I found two JL 12w3s in a Ported JL power wedge box. It also comes with a Rockford Fosgate 360a2 and all the wires to install. All this for $225.

Any opinions? They all appear to be in excellent condition. I have heard these are both very good brands and models. This will be my first sub set up.

If it matters my HU is a Clarion DXZ765mp and I have 4 Alpine sps-17c2 speakers.

A guy I used to work with had a pair of 12w3s ported and they got pretty loud and had a great sound. Not sure how much power he was giving them, but he did say it was a JL amp (I never actually saw it though, he had it under his seat).

thanks for the help. I think I'm going to go take a look at it either tomorrow or Tuesday. Hopefully it will be able to fill my car's interior with sound and make a big difference in my music!
