Hi guys i was wondering what would be a good comparison between JL subs...

JL w3v2 is similar to what?? type r? or something like that

and how about JL w6v2???

I think the W6 can be compared to the ED Ks or RE SEs. Not to sure about the W3s.

w6v2 is comparable to the ED K...

SE has more output than a w6v2, but doesn't sound as good...

With my budget I would get the K. I think JL prices are outrageous.

Just from what I know about the two I would say they would be near each other. Maybe. They type r may be lil bit over the w3's but I dont know. I dont have any personal experience with them. Thats just my guess.

Type R's are pretty comparable to the W3V2.....the first time I heard a W3V2, all I heard was the sales guy give me bullshit about how JL redesigned everything and how it was infinitley better than the old W3 and thats why it cost 275 a sub.....I was heavily disappointed with the output. It had great SQ, but it didnt get loud at all....it was a decent little thump, but thats about it. It was in a Jeep too. The Type R is pretty close in SQ, and gets a little louder than the W3V2, and of course costs less.

W6V2 is a different story though......
