jl speaker sq vs infinity sq

i was talking with this one guy i know down at the stereo shop here, and he was saying that you know, jl is the best blah blah, his store only carries jl pretty much so he's sorta paid to paint a picture. but i always see people recommending infinity on here and i know they're supposed to have good sq. i have a friend who has some of the high end JL components and he's running them off of a premier amp. great setup, but honestly i'm not too impressed with the sound quality. it just really lacks in depth and fullness i guess. anyway, what do you guys think.
