Ok I'm working on my friends car here soon, a complete sound system install, 2 6.5" comps, 2 12" subs and possibly a PC

well in my car I have some JL 10w0 love em, but I have a hatchback and his car is a chevy cobalt, so hes gonna need some more power for it to sound good, and we are going for SQ in this...

Now I was wondering what subs are gonna be my best bet... something like the RE 12SX or like a JL 12W7?

Thanks in advance for the help

for sq? no (i think that comparo is apples to oranges anyway)

for sq think about, idmax.., alumapro alchemy, jl w6v2, and a bunch others... i can't think right now, for some reason

are you sure you dont want sql?

w7 owns the sx is every single category possible. except for price.
thats a ridiculous question.
Yes..

From what I hear, the RE SE is very comparible to the Dub7 in sound quality, but obviously not as loud. A pair of 12''s should be similar to a Dub7

1 W7 > 2 SEs... IMO. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

Yes, but, I'm guessing they'd be pretty close. Price is the factor here, and pricewise 2 SE ownt 1 dub7
You can get a good deal on W7s nowadays at almost every local dealer. Once you factor in the shipping costs of 2 subs, it almost evens out. And then there is resale value... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/greedy.gif.5a53e6246569d7ab79867170f3b06629.gif

x2, when you look on ebay used w7's good for a pretty penny, hell you can just about get back what you paid for it.

Good luck getting any help out of JL if you buy off internet. Also, good luck finding a new Dub7 for $294 (price of 2 SE12 shipped)
Wasn't aware SEs are so cheap, I thought they went for 160 + shipping each. My friend got a 12W7 from a local dealer with full warranty for $450 like a year ago, and he didn't even really search around.
