it has a switch for low level and high level inputs.....then you adjust the regular gain as needed.

So does it work any different than a regular gain knob? the reason i ask is bc my headunit is pretty low power, a doubledin lcd with ~1 v output, so i was wondering if it would work better than a regular amps gain controls
