Hey there I recently purchased the 12" W7 in JL's H.O. box and I was wondering whether I should pick up the 1800D or the 500/1 because their prices are the same. I do not have enough money for the 1000/1 so I have to choose between these 2. I believe the slash is rated 500 RMS on any voltage and then the 1800D is supposedly 800 RMS at 12.5 V. I was told that the 500/1 can push out the same amount of power relatively as the 1800D tho... Any advice?

I don't think the 'e' series is output regulated like the '/' series is it. If not then whichever amp has more power. However, the benefit of the 500/1 is that you don't need to worry about switching amps if you change the subs impedance.
