i was on the jl website and they recommend a box the it 22"w x 16"h x 14 3/4"d for a 15w3 sealed. if i were to build that how would it sound. or could you give me pointers on how it will sound better. thank you .

It would sound fine. But first you need to identify the type of sound you are looking for. You need to do some research and respect that people put time into designing you boxes (for free) assuming that you are going to get busy with the build. Indecisivenes gets you no where. Good luck with what ever you come up with.
