Jl Audio??

I was looking at JL's new W7 (the 12"s) and they are **** expensive...are they worth the money...im sure they could out do my audiobahn 12"s...i have a 2000 watt amplifier but am only runnin about 750 to my current subs..would 2 W7s be able to handle about 1000 watts each...or could i get another 2000 watt amp and run about 1800 to each...im willing to pay the money for them...i just need to hear some input..and also what other JL subs are good...and can handle 1000+ watts..

Are they worth the money? You decide with your checkbook and your ears. To me, they're not worth it right now, but if I had the cash...who knows.

Yes, two 12W7s could take a kW daily. 1.8kW would be fine as well, provided you watch the gains and the enclosure volume.

Theyre nice subs , and I would love to own a pair. but are they worth the money to me? nope. Youll have to make that decision for yourself though. If youre looking for SPL go ported.

are these subs made for spl or sq?? cause i want alot of bass..how loud would these get with 1500 watts each compared to 2 kicker l7's with about 1200 watts..

(my friend has 2 L7's...so i wanna know if these will get louder then them)? ...

L7's have the ability to get pretty dang loud. The w7's will be able to get pretty loud, but with better sq. For a daily driver I would choose the w7's if I had that cash to blow. Theres also a TON of factors involved with the 'will this be louder than this'.

iight...i really dunno if i wanna pay the money for the w7s if i can just get 2 l7s for the price of one w7...and turn out the L7s will be louder...plus ive heard L7s are crap...and blow easy..which im not sure about..but them w7s look real tight

anyways is there another sub out there that can compete witht the w7 price range wise??

Check into RE XXX, or Adire Brahma, those are comparable to W7, some say better, some say W7 is better, but i think most people agree when you factor in price, the XXX and Brahma are better options, unless of course you can get a dub7 for a great deal. I own a 1 15XXX getting bout 1200watts and it gets incredibly loud and sounds great.

Agreed, I'd put my XXX up to a dub7 any day of the week. And factor in that it's HUNDREDS of dollars less...makes it all the better.

Um...yes they would actually, but the warranty is void after 1500 I believe. The w7 can handle some extreme power as long as you keep the gains down and build a correct enclosure.

o my amp can handle 2000 @ 1 ohm...i wasnt planning on putting that muhc power to them anyways..
