it wasnt really a cheap one, but it just wasnt the $60 JL one thats big as fucl{. i'll post a picture of that on later if ya want. the old one only blew cuz of the heat in the summer. I live in florida. Along with the heat outside, engine heat, and heat from using the system, it blew.

You even said yourself theres not any diff from +13bass boost to 0....someone find that vid of them showing the effects of bass boost on the oscilloscope

well with a JL amp theres not much difference. Trust me, if the bass boost was supposed to be on 0, then they wouldn't have put that shit on the amp.

trust me when i say there is nothing all to special about a jl amplifier...there are plenty of other products on the market that have features that do more harm then good.... bass boost generally does more harm then good especially in your case since the amplifier is not properly set up so i strongly suggest that you invest in a multimeter and set you amplifier via the gain setting tutorial which is on jls site (since you seem to be so enamored with jl even they tell you the correct way to set up an amplifier)
