JL Audio

the W7 is better if you have the money for it and an amp with enough power to push it they don't sound good underpowered... if you don't need the output get the w6... getting more sub than you are going to use doesn't pay off with w7's but yes they have the ability for better sound quality and output...

There is no "better" only better for whatever application. I prefer the sound of the w6 when I want something more laid back and natural sounding without a ton of bottom end. I would choose a w7 if I wanted something louder that really emphasized the 25-45hz region and didn't care too much about blending well with my front stage.

very well put

and dont listen to cotjones, he is a complete idiot

I like my w7 tuned low. I had it tuned to about 35 hz once and HATED it.

It really is relative to install and the power you have. As long as my w7 lasts, I'll never buy another woofer again because it does the job great.

i have one 12w6v2 and im buying another which is gonna be run off my 500/1 amp for about 2 or 3 weeks untill i can get another 500/1. i was just curious which one seemed to be better.

dissagreement here..... but to each his own

this board is gay for the w6. IMO the w7 sounds better, gets louder, and is an overall better driver. but either way, you can't go wrong.
2x except for with the w7 if you underpower it you're allmost guaranteed to hate it on the contrary, with the right setup you'll fall in love with it... don't let people in this forum fool you into thinking you can make any sub do watever you want... there is a distinct difference and reference in which the quality of the sub is based, where you go from there(with the installation) is largely personal prefference... then again don't listen to me, i'm a complete idiot
