Im considering changing last minute from adding one more subs. i have been looking the zapco c2k9 2000 watt amp. Im looking to add more spl's.so would two 13.5 w7 or four 13.5 w6s do the trick.both boxes will be slot ported.

Wow someone has some cas...well I'm voting the w6's...4 comparing to 2. The 4 have more cone area those e'll get the job done for sure. But 2 w7's of that size with that amount of power will probably treat you pretty well. If u don't want to take up as much room go for the w7's if you have plent of room all 4 wouild be my choice

if both are properly ported boxes, i would say the 4 w6's should come out on top. did you make sure that the impedence will match up with that amp?

I have no idea on the impedance on them .im hoping someone out there know which direction to go.I have lots of room they are going into a 31 ft boat.I have enough room to put 12 w7 in in its locations.

your options, provided those w6's are dual 4 ohms, would be 4 or 8 ohm final load. not sure what that zapco does, if it's 2 or 1 ohm. a crossfire vr2000D would work perfect with 4 w6's if the zapco doesn't make rated power at 2 ohms.

either way I think you will have plenty coming from the subs. . .I think that if you want to compete go with 4 subs and if not go either way and it will sound good.

the zapco c2k9 is 2000 bridged 4ohm

I would say 1 w7 for the low rumble and 2 w6's for that punch I love so much o0o

Im looking for some one who has had the same decision to make and has researched this set up.we are talking alot of money and dont want to be wrong .not so much looking for opinion more on the fact which works better.thanks.

i most definatly get the w6 freekin rock in a good ported box. i install a lot of them. and say they do much better then the w7
