JL audio subs

Recently i just picked up an Audi A4 2.0T and I am looking to buy either 2 10" w6's or 2 12"w3v3's which would be a better buy? My friends are telling me that i should just get 1 of either the w3's or w6's and that should be loud enough to bump in my car. any inputs? the amps im thinking about are either the JL mono 1000/1 or a rockfordfosgate amp with atleast 1000watts. I am not trying to spend too much for just the amps and subs. go to your local car audio store and have them install a sub and amp.

for $800 it shoud be all wired up and working box and sound good.

might not be jl, but will be loud and bump pretty good,

its your best option, you could waste you money if you dont know what your doing.

phone a couple stores in your area and ask what they offer for $800.

go with the guys you like the sound of on the phone best

A 1000/1 and two 10w6s would be great, but not in your price range mentioned. If you are just looking to add bass, you can get away with a much cheaper setup.

If you want to stick with JL, you could even do 2 12w1s and a 500/1.

some guy was trying to sell me 2 JL 12w3v3 for about 650 with a TMA mono amp which i have never heard(he told me its a JL Audio rip which works as well)... and this is with install.

any suggestions for amps? for a 10w6 or a 12w3?

TMA is nice shit... JL simply bought them out, not a JL rip... 650 seems high though.

its a brand new setup.. um unfortunatly i didnt get the specs on the amp but he said it was a 500watt mono amp... sorry i only had like 20mins to get this quote during my lunch...

and yes jluv i believe its a full boxed and for sure its a complete install

Is that all brand new with box and complete install? Is the amp the T500.1? If yes to both questions, that isn't a bad deal.

EDIT: Just saw your last post. That isn't a bad deal, imo. The thing is, you can find a million different combinations out there. You just need to pick one. W3s are good subs. TMA is decent stuff. I have their top 4-channel right now and it works fine for my front tweets and rear fill. I haven't had any problems, but I have only been using it for 3 or 4 months. Can you possibly do the install yourself? You could save some cash that way.

If thats install then that is a pretty sweet deal.

If not, I would see if you could get 100 knocked off, but if not, 600 for all that would be pretty decent... especially if he threw in a box.

i definitly will not be installing this by myself... i will have some friends help me that have had previous experience with audio installs but i wouldnt mind trying
