Does anyone know if a JL w6v2 d4 would sound better in a seal box or ported?

the sound quality is high.

so it will do fine in a ported box.

tune it to about 28 Hz

people usually go with sealed enclosures for subs they want to sound good and accurate. if you go ported its much louder but you lose SQ.

No...only those that dont know what their doing fo sealed for sq.

unless you know what you're doing building the ported box i suggest you stick with sealed.

with the ported box youre going to end up with a lil bit of overhang which i myself am not too fond of. with the sealed you'll have a much tighter feel but it will not be able to reproduce low frequencies as well as the ported box.

It's really a preference thing... the speaker will perform great in both applications.
