Loud is a relative term. Ill just say W3s did not give me what I wanted. But I will also say my 3Krms system with 2 hard hitting 12s doesnt really feed my need, so take it for what it is. Maybe 6K will make me happy:idea:

With that said, the W3 is an awesome woofer. It does everything quite well without needing gobs of power just to move the cones. Sure, there's some other brands out there that make a good products and everyone has an opinion on what the 'right' brand is to get. But all that aside, you're getting a good sub in the W3 and very few people would not be happy with how they perform. They're not the loudest things...but then again the loudest things tend to sound terrible. JL has never made a bad sounding woofer.

Nope, it was a good install. And the WX is one of the worst sounding subs I have ever heard. And dont forget about T.M.A... So please try again to validate your point. My point was, to each is own. JL did not suit my goals of a 150 db ground pounder and Im not quiet there yet, but going to 6K would more then likely get me there

No the WX was.. W3s sound good but if you dont have your can rattle free you wont take full advantage of it.

oh ya so where do u buy these IA 187, SSA DCON, or DC level 2 subs from all the stores around here just have kicker alpine or jl

Stay out of stores if you can man. You get charged overheard and they have to make a profit also. These companys sell direct and you dont pay for a name or advertising. You get a MUCH better product. If you do not have a DC dealer in your area you can buy direct form DC HQ and it normally is a bit cheaper. You just have to check the locator.

well im not really a big fan of ordering stuff online as i live in canada and it cost me an extra 150 to 200 dollars just to get something to me, but ill have to do a little more research into what you guys advised me to get. also how are phoenix golds subs these days if i could get ur opinion on them?

since you asked between the 2 and I have owned both I'll be the only one to actually answer the question.

They jl's sound much nicer and cleaner, they are also more punchy and quick. The cvr's don't sound ''bad'' they just don't sound very nice, they do get pretty loud for the low level sub they are.

well its either going to be between the w3v3s or the dc level 2s since they have the only stores in canada and would be cheap shipping. i can get the w3s for 200 bucks a sub, that is what they gave me for a price and i can probably swindle them down another 20 or 30. can anyone give me a price on the dc's?

I cant tell you Canada pricing. But Im guess about the same or a bit less. Here you can get the lvl 3 for that price. Go with the DC bro, I did and I am very happy with them. A plus to going with one of the brands mentioned- If you ever want a larger diameter sub you can send it to them and it will come back a 15 or a 8 if wanted. They use the same motor for the whole line, not like other "mainstream" where each motor is tailored to that size. It makes for some strong smaller subs. They will also take a bit more then rated if you keep it clean.
