I was wondering which one of these components you guys would recomment. They're both 5.25
JL Audio VR 525CSI or Alpine SPX xxx series
I heard them both and they both sound good except the alpine has a sharper tweeter. Do you guys recommend going up to the XR series for JL? The alpines sound different at the stores i listened to and I have a feeling it has to do with the set up. I think JL has a smoother response curve. I'm looking for SQ not SPL.
