does anyone have this amp?

does it do the power it claims [1200 rms @ 2ohm]?

it uses 4-guage wire instead of 0-guage power connections so im kinda spectical on its power specs!!!

i cant find a review of this amp!!!!

Looks like a nice enough amp. 4 gauge inputs are plenty for 1200w. Seeing that it's made by JL, seems to me like it'd be slightly underrated.

Although, after working with their E and A-series amps (looks like the G series is just the updated version) I was terribly underwhelmed by how cheap they felt.

Probably dragging this thread up from the depths a bit, but if anyone wants to know if this amp is good or not , I'll put my hand up and say I'm quite happy with mine.

I've slightly overloaded my G-max amp with 2x 13TW5 subs (equalling 1.5 ohms) and I haven't had any problems at all with it.

I've used it constantly at moderate levels //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif and it's never kicked up a fuss, plus I've used it twice for a sound off comp and it's done me well on both occasions.

the output I've turned the gains up to on this amp is 53.1 volts A/C unclipped on the speakers terminals using a rock solid flat 12.5VDC input from a D34 Optima, and this has been into a 1.5 ohm load. That works out to around 1880 peak to peak. Using .707 as the RMS ref. it works out to be 1329WRMS that this amp will happy pump out all day into a 1.5ohm load. Not bad for an engine off reading IMO.
