Jl Audio 500/1 or Massive Audio N4

I have a jl 10w7 in a nice ported box and just recently found out the amp I've been running it off is hugely under powered for it. It's currently being run off a Massive nx3 along with my speakers. I decided its time to get a sepperate amp just for the sub now and as of now it's between the N4 and the 500/1. I'm open to other company's but my price range is 200-300 max. I can get a used 500/1 for this price range or a new N4. The Slash is probably a better made amp but the N4 will offer me a couple hundred watts more of power. What do you guys think?

You can probably find a 500/1 for under $200, those are nice amps. Can you move up to something larger, like 1kwatt? You have plenty of headroom with that W7 for more than 500w

Will I note a significant difference between 500 and 7-850ish? The slash would do 500 and the n4 would offer around 800 or a little more

With ~60% more power, I think you'd notice a bit more from the W7 with the n4 (assuming it does what you say it does)

I just would not want to run a w7 off of a dirty amp. I'd be patient and look for a clean used amp on here that provides enough power clean.

Do you know the N4 is dirty or is that assumed? I've heard good things about them but they are relatively unknown
