JL audio 300.4 vs ED nine.2x

Looking for SQ between the two amps. Would be running Rainbow CMX 265 kicks. I currently have the JL audio 300.4 bridged. sounds good, could sound better. after reading some opinions, sounds like the nine.2x would sound amazing. anyone...?

This site is VERY much against ED. You will not find a very unbias opinion on the subject.

I'm running an Ed nine.1 and I love it. But that is not apples to apples at all. It is powering my subs.

It's not that i don't like the 300/4. i just feel a 2ch would be more effcient. I'm using the 300/4 because it was given to me(long story) not because it was my first choice. yes the speakers are broken in. the 300/4 runs a little hot after 45min of use. yes, it's settings are adjusted properly. just looking for some feedback on the over all preformance of both of these amps.

There's been a general anti Ed factor on this forum for a while. Is it because their products are below average or because of issues with their owner? They seem to have a good warranty but I've heard people in the past complain about delivery times of new products getting pushed back and such. So is it their products or service or combinatoin of both?

go active with that 4 channel JL amplifier and call it ia day.....I have came to realize after I made the swithc that when it comes down to it passive set ups are for GhEyS and active pimps them out for loose change!

I had a JL 300/4 about 3 years ago, for some reason I just never liked how it sounded. I went to a Zapco Reference then to my current PG Xenon, both sound better.
