hey i have a JL Audio 12w6v2 in a sealed box (facing down) right now with 700 watts going to it and it hits way hard, but i was wondering if a ported box would be louder?

im happy with the tight clean hit, but i want it to be louder even if that means taking away some SQ.

~~~ what should the demensions be on the box and the port... and drawings or input would be appreciated, thanx
right now i have a MTX 18000D (1500 watts at 2 ohms)
but im getting a JL Audio 1000/1 in like a week
and i should get my other 12w6 in a week
i had 2 12w6v2's and i wouldnt send it 700w in a ported box. i had them both sealed with about 650w and it loved it. if i were you id just stay sealed or cut down your amount of power.
