JL Audio 10w7

Question:

a friend of a friend is selling his JL Audio 10w7 in a JL Audio box for the sub. I have heard good things about this amp, but I want to make sure its a good sub to buy. He's selling it for $250, and I havent gotten a chance to check it out yet. If its in good condition and sounds good, would you recommend buying it? Is it an overall good reliable sub?

I dont know what version of the w7 it is, but I do know the box is the H.O. Wedge series - if that makes any difference.

The W7 is a top of the line sub, one of the best made today. They are pricey, upwards of $500+ without an enclosure. $250 for it is a steal, if its in good condition.

Yes, even though i would never buy a new w7, i can say they are great subs, and those boxes are supposed to be loud and sound good. At that price, i would sell my subs and get it.

yeah those are great subs. many people believe they just aren't worth the money. but nevertheless, they are well built subs.

For 250$ it may be blown or something. Sounds kinda fishy. A 500$ sub for 250$.... if its not messed up go for it.... i mean what would it hurt lol.
