JL 500/1 & 2 L7's

i have the amp running 2 12inch L7 dual 4 ohm . i have them wired down to 1ohm i think . but it seems that the subs pop. whats the problem . i know this amp ant big enough but its all i got . unless anyone want to trade

You probably have the gains up too high trying to make up for the lack of power. Readjust your gains. You really need a different amp to power both of them properly. The power you have really isn't even enough for 1 L7.

Read the gain setting tutorial, you are probably clipping the amp.

what he said^^^^^. L7's really start to shine at about 1100 watts (each).
