Jl 13w7 factory prowedge or 2 10" DLS nobellium subs?

I am not gonna lie, I wasn't planning on upgrading the big 3 even though it will help for sure. I am trying to get away with not doing that. I am having a shop install the stuff for me and they will prob charge me an arm and a leg for the big 3 even though its just a few wires lol. So you are saying that the pdx 1000 draws as much current as the 1000/1?

yes. do the big 3 yourself. easy, takes 20 minutes, and it's the single most important thing to do for your electrical. do not, i repeat, DO NOT have that shop install your sub/amp. don't buy from there, either, trust me, you'll end up spending over $1000 easily

I know not to buy from the shop. I have been buying my gear on ebay for years now. The shop would easily charge me 1300 for the sub and over 1ooo for the amp which is a joke considering I can get the prowedge on ebay for 700 plus another 500 for the amp. I will have to have a shop install it for me considering the fact that I have no experience installing the stuff and taking parts of the car apart. i will buy the wiring kit for the amp myself. All I will be paying for is the installation which will not get too out of hand.

Also, do you think the current drain of the pdx 1000 will be at least slightly less than a 1000/1 v2? Thanks so much.

I believe the Alpine amps are more efficient than the JL. With that said my 2008 Volkswagen R32 with 2 pioneer ICE amps did dim my interior lights when I cranked it up full volume. So you might consider upgrading the big 3 as suggested by other forum member.
