JL 10W6v2/12W6v2 Subs

Hey,

I am thinking of getting two of either of these... I'm leaning toward the 10W6v2's because I'm not really much of a Basshead, right now I use a Phoenix Gold Octane ZR 12", and getting those over the 12's would save me almost $150. I was thinking of getting two of these with a JL 500/1 Amp, so 250w RMS to each sub. How does this set up sound? Any recommendations/suggestions?

500/1 to each @ least. those are 400rms /ea i'm sure your aware. don't care if you don't crank it up, give them RMS at least, then tune from there......
I see that they are optimized for 400w RMS... the 1000/1 gives 500w RMS to each driver, which is more likely to cause problems in the long run... any suggestions for a Class D 800w RMS amp?

i had 10"s with 700 watts on each and they liked it...i would do the 1000/1 before i'd do the 500/1....they will take it no problem.

heres 2 10"s on an Autotek MM 1400.1...they loved it

do u already have the amp or r u thinking of buying it
there are lots of amps u can get for less that will do fine
I don't already have the amplifier, no. I'm gonna start buying pieces of my system now, for my new vehicle which i'll get sometime in the next 6 months... that way its not so much of a strain on my cash flow, haha. What suggestions do you have for less? The 1000/1 is about $600 on ebay... but, if I can run 500w to each sub, then what other 1000w amps could be recommended?
