Jensen 9022 Subwoofer Question

I have installed a Jensen 9022 Head unit and their is only one (1) sub out rca cable. My amp has a 2 ( right and left ( white and red )). I tried using a phono y splitter and the bass doesnt sound correct to me. Any ideas?? Please reply....

If you are running your sub amp mono(bridged or a mono amp) don't use the splitter. Just put a single rca into the left side. Then set your gains according to the guide on this site. There is no reason to have 2 channel input on a mono sub.
