I've got a 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee I am trying to turn into a strong daily rig. So far I have a good start, details I'm my sig. I will start throwing up pics of the install. I have an Evil 15 on the way and a custom birch box for it. 240a alt, 60ah AGM front, 2/0 ofc wire to the back 95ah AGM. Trauma 2000.1 on the sub, Taramps 440x4 on the mids. Ordering a set of evil mids for the front stage, quicker than I wanted to because I blew one of my tweets up front lol. Any way take a look and criticizm is just as welcome as compliments 😂

I got the box built today, all that's left is to go back over it with puddy and give it a good sanding. I think if your going to buy something nice you should take the time to make your best effort so I am going to finish it out to a fine/medium grit paper (400ish) after I use some wood putty to fill any imperfections. You will notice in the last few shots that you cant see the screws in the second baffle when I put the third baffle trim ring on. That's because I traced it out and put the screws behind it. I missed a couple though, was thinking of getting closer to the shoulder on the sub portal but thought it would be in the way when I go to use my nut serts on the box for the sub anchors. Gonna get it as slick as I can and make sure to chase any edges then stain the box a gun metal color and the trim baffle an ebony or classic black, idk yet. I know it will get hit with a high gloss poly, this gun metal color almost looks like granite with a high gloss. I'm using spax screws and pre drilling, and using tite bond 3 glue to be waterproof.

And I was looking to have good accuracy and sound in this build as well. The box is on the smaller end of the "optimal" area at 4.25cu net so it should be very responsive, but you guys know like I do, tighter box=more poWa! lol. So I think I am going to go closer to my electrical limit with a 4kish amp.

GP designed the box for me, he said sub up port back did really good in suv's.
I’ve tried sub up port back and sub back port back with a few different subs in my Jeep Patriot. I can’t really hear a difference between the 2 orientations by ear. I’ve tried numerous different subs both ways. Loading mine at a really weird angle facing back into the passenger rear corner actually seems to sound best, but you’d never install it sitting that way unless you were metering anyway.

Ive had great results with Sub Up Port up in most of the SUVs Ive been in
