Guess I'm officially starting my build thread. If you have followed me at all you know I just rebuilt an old school Fosgate RFR 3110. I just pulled the trigger on a Tar smart 3 and have 40' of 2/0 pure copper lead for my power and ground wiring. Also in the process of designing my box. So every build starts with wire so here's a pic of my lead wire, I will of course replace my current 4 gauge big three with this as well.

Well ebay refunded my money for some reason on the smart 3, guess the supplier was out. Maybe its an omen, damn LOL. Now I'm thinking about the cab again LOL. I also have a VFL amp local for 100 bucks, supposed to be 2400rms but idk.

Thats some really good wire. I used the same to wire up my Tommy Lift Gate on my Chevy. 2500HD with a 150A Breaker. Pretty flexable

We like it, use it for all our welding leads. Its pure ofc, fine strand and very flexible, plus its made in the USA,

Hmm. I do not know much about those. I did buy some of the first VFL 4480.1d Hybrids(4) and a 1504 and an 1880.1d and a 26801 from Bob before he sold out. I still have the 4480.1s and they get down pretty nicely on good electrical

I still haven't decided on an amp after the no sale. I was close again to pulling the trigger on a 3K but I keep looking at the Korean stuff to, I think there Korean. Like CT Sounds, SoundQubed and the Cab really has me curious.

Im running a CT Sounds CT 2000.1D on a pair of S.Qubed dvc2 ohm HDS310s in a 4.0@32htz @2ohm atm as I just pulled two XFL DVC4 12s out recently to try @2ohm and it gets down pretty nice for the price point. Ive picked up a pair of these amps to Strap eventually for 4 12s to put back in for a daily driver. The CT150.4 is nice and compact also, Ive only powered it up and tested on a bench with 4 polk DB 6.5s and picked up theyre Peamp EQ as well that seems like it will be a decent replacement for my older Kicker LQ9s and Earthquake 7000. So far a great Budget mono amplifier. Its about the size of my Zapco ST 6X to give you a size comparison

It may be worth the wait for the 4th of July Sales?? and run a temp amp for now? The older I get ,, the more patient Ive become. LOL

Yeah I can wait a bit, might save a few bucks. The CT looks to be a decent amp, I may give the 2000 a shot.

Even tho I smoked my smart 5k (just a dud it happens no matter what you get), I’m getting another one! While I never pushed it (didn’t get the chance lol) I did get passed the half way point and my voltage stayed right in the 14’s. These things are definitely impressively efficient! Plus the price is just a smokin deal (no pun on the smokin )!

Is this strictly an audio build or can i look forward to some suspension and drivetrain upgrades?
