i got 2 of my 12's in today, i dont have the 1000w amps yet so since my 4 channle can do 300X4@2ohm i wired each sub to a channel and put 2 components per channel, posed to be 300 per sub and 300 per set of components but the fusing is only 2 30s so i assume its 150X4@2ohms in reality, so even with only 150 per sub these things knock hard! i love it cant wait to get the other 2 plus the 2 1000w amps and 2 extra batts, should be nice as hell! ill get pics of the 2 12's i got later on tonight!

ok finally got off my lazy *** and took pics today. also make my hifonics symbol to mount in the cargo, its not the best, its by no means professoinal, but considering this is the first time i actually tried to make more outta this install than just the box and i've done it all 100% on my own im very proud of it so heres the pics:

first up the subs, only 2 and i gettin 2 more this week, and sound amazing considering they lower class and only gettin 150w each til i get both my 1000's in:

next my symbol. wrapped it in grey to give it a 2tone appeal, turned out way better than i though, also note the best tool box in history, its an original korean war trunk! my dad picked it up at a yard sale for ......1 DOLLAR! freakin sweet, i love history and war shit:

close up of symbol, again its not the best but for usin a skill saw and a jig saw free hand i think its ok, i used my war trunk as the work bench!:

and lastley, not anything to do with the system but i did it today and spent lots of time on em so i took a pic of my weld racing aluminums, i think they look chrom when polished like so..:

ok called into work today jus for a free day. well the free day sucked and i got bored so out came the tools and now i have a reason to get to more sets of components for the rear as i have moved the set from the rear to the front door panel! wow i gotta stop gettin bored or imma end up modifying the whole dam jeep.

if anyone cares i FINALLY got the passenger side door matching the driver side as shown above! but when doing so i accidentiall ripped the wire out one of the tweeters and had to run out to get a solder iron and some solder and got her all fixed better than new! all is well and LOUD and CRISP, thinkin about going with 2sets of the 6.5"s for the rear, anyone here got any comparisons from first hand on 6.5"s vs. 5.25"s will the 6.5's help out the mid range any? the way my box is ported it really dont have much bass/mid bass SQ above the 120hz range so i kinda wanna fill that sound area in a little and i was thinkin uppin to some 6.5's in the rear would help that out a little more than addin 2 more sets of 5.25's?

How did you attach it to the door? Is it just screwed to the panel, or right through to the door? I need to make something like that for mine.

i got some 1/4" self tapping chrome metal screws and went threw the panel into the door! i know its not the cleanest way to attach it but thats the only reason i went with chrome ones so that atleast it looks like it was done for that purpose! i wish idda takin pics of the process so that i could so more detail, ALOT of the inside door skin was cut out and of course the factory panel was trimed to tuck about a half inch behind the MDF. i wish to god i coulda dynamatted it but i dont gots the money for it right now! ill be savin up for that and before i do the final touches of hookin up the 2 spare batts and then wiring the 2 monos and new 4channel imma try to go back through and take wverthing(seats, carpet, panels) and do a single layer of matt! my jeep dont rattle as much since i've put in the wall/box which braces against the roof really nicley holding it tight from vibes!

ok this thread can now be deleted, im startin over a new build, same wall prolly but goin with either ssa, fi, or maybe havoc if i can get some for cheaper than the fi's
