Jeep Infinity amp

Is anyone familiar with, or can help with the Infinity system (with amp) fitted in 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

I've installed a Atoto A6 head unit and there is a clicking/interference noise when the 'amp enable turn on' is switched on. If I put the original Jeep radio back in the sound is perfect.

I'm guessing there is an incompatibility between the Atoto HU and the amp.

The only wire I haven't connected to the harness/adapter is coming out of the Jeep HU marked 'mute', but I don't know what this wire of function does and I don't know if this s related to the noise problem.

Any thoughts please.
