JBL Subs. Looking for opinions.

I haven't seen many people on here talking about JBL subs. I was at a local shop not long ago and it got me thinking. Last JBL sub I heard in car audio use was many years ago. Guy had a 18" in the back of a little hatchback. Was loud as hell.

Has anyone here heard any lately and have an opinion on them?
