I have 2 PG Tantrum 1200.1's and 2 JBL W10GTi's. Do you think these subs can handle it's own amp? I know they are 600 watts RMS, but Ive heard many people giving them much more power than that. Btw, they are in a sealed box. Thanks for any help!

yah they'll def take it. i saw an nsx once with 1 10in power series being pushed by a bpx1100.1 and it took it all like a champ. Plus iv seen w10's take the amount ur gonna push it and they took it all.

The birth sheets on the PG's say ~1500 dynamic, so I just want to be sure before I go blowing something up...even though that would be fun:)

they will definetaly handle it. they dont puta 3,000+ max power rating on there for nothing. Each amp will prolly see a 3ohm load since you'll be wiring each voice coil in parallel so the amp will put out more than 1200 watts rms at 4 ohms. You could always go to a dealer and try one out?

Go to a dealer and try what out? Ive been running 2 JBL W10GTI's off of one PG 1200.1 in 2 ported boxes. I bought another 1200.1, but didnt know if each speaker could handle 1500 watts RMS, not max power.

lol sry man thought u didnt have them. my bad. if your still worried, hook each amp to each sub and set the gain low. try it out for a while and if feel that they can take more put the gain a little higher and then just keep doing that. Make sure you pay attention for clipping, distortion, popping etc. but like i said with you i have seen 1 10 inch Power series sub taking 1200-1300 watts rms for more or less a whole day of continuous play and the gti's are much stronger than those. also, part of the reason why they are so deep is prolly because of the amount of power they can handle.

Also, I know Im going to need to upgrade my alt with the addition of another amp. What size alternator would you guys suggest? I dont know what is stock on a dodge ram, but I already have dimming problems, WITH a cap and a yellow top.
